Health Insurance for International Students in Australia

All international students in Australia must have an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) as it covers a wide range of medical expenses. OSHC is one of the prerequisites to apply for a student visa. The health cover must be valid and active throughout their stay in Australia. If your family members are accompanying you as a dependent, they should have an OSHC too. 
 
The average cost of OSHC for a single student is between $300 - $400 for a 12 months plan.
